Amoskeag Draw Notice
Patriot Hydro, LLC (Patriot) is providing notice of our plan to lower the water level above the Amoskeag Hydro dam on the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH.
Patriot plans to lower the water level above the Amoskeag Dam approximately three (3) feet below normal in accordance with the following schedule, to conduct necessary repairs to the dam spillway.
- On July 5, 2024, Patriot will begin lowering the water level approximately 1’ per day, to achieve a target impoundment elevation of 3’ below normal by July 8, 2024.
- On July 12, 2024, Patriot will begin raising the water level approximately 1’. The water level will remain 2’ below normal until October 7, 2024.
- From October 8-11, 2024, the impoundment level will be decreased to 3’ below normal level. Following repairs completion October 12, the impoundment level will be restored to normal level.
*All work sequencing is subject to weather patterns, high flow events, etc.
